Perfect 10!!

surfers-healing-5

All year we travel around for different events and to surf big waves. None of them even come close to the feeling and satisfaction of traveling with the Surfer’s Healing team taking autistic children surfing all along the East coast and in Puerto Rico. This years season was a huge success and has come to an end. We can’t wait until next when we can do it all over again!!!
Thanks so much to Izzy, Jeff, all the boys and especially the kids and their families.

Here are some photos from the event in Montauk Where Izzy called it a perfect 10!!

After Montauk it was off to Rhode Island where we used the Wavejet for the first time to take autistic children surfing. It was AMAZING, especially for helping us get the larger children out into the line-up. I can’t wait for next year to utilize it at all the Surfer’s Healing events.

Also, I think it is incredible that we have American Express and Maui Jim Sunglasses helping out and supporting this incredible foundation that gives autistic children a once in a lifetime experience. It is so emotional to see some of these children smile for the first time ever and to show emotion. I can’t even imagine what it means to the parents!!

Awesome Eco-concious Swim Suits // www.teekilove.com

teeki-bikini-mdn-55125600

Made of organic cotton, recycled rayon and other sustainable fabrics, these green bikinis and yoga clothes are as sustainable as they are sexy. Checkout their stuff at http://www.teekilove.com.

Teeki strives to be as environmentally conscious as possible.

Some examples of how they do their part:

The bikini fabric is made from recycled water bottles or also known as P.E.T.
Currently 89% of the bikini is made of P.E.T or recycled polyester.  Basically the petroleum from the water bottles is melted down and reused to make the polyester. It is a clean process and the heat kills all germs from the recycled water bottles. All of  the printed fabric that we use is vintage.

Each Teeki bikini keeps 12 bottles out of our landfills.

Teeki makes everything in the states which not only eliminates our carbon footprint, but also helps support the U.S. economy, which we all know is crucial during times like these.
Teeki uses as much of the fabric roll as possible. Fabric not used for bikini’s are made into straps, bracelets or recycled.

Teeki is continuously looking for more ways to better the envirnment, and does everything in its entirety to be conscious. “We  love your help and support with the bikinis and yoga and of course your conscious mind.
We are open for new ideas and comments , so that we can continue to better the environment.”

Please share your thoughts with Teeki so that we can have a better product for you! You can do that on the comments page. Teeki loves you!
